Transferrable Skills Analysis (TSA)

A Transferable Skills Analysis assessment is undertaken by an Occupational Therapist and is of benefit to those clients who are unable to return to their substantive vocational role. The assessment may assist in identifying a new role with their existing employer or an alternative new role with a new employer. 

The assessment  provides an account of the individual’s current presenting symptoms and impact on capacity to continue working in their current role. The assessment will include a summary of the individual’s educational and vocational qualifications, a brief outline of their work history incorporating an analysis of skills and level of training achieved in their career to date, based on the information provided by the client. 

Following the assessment, the assessor in collaboration with the individual, will formulate and agree the basis for recommendations that will assist in outlining a range of suitable jobs considering their current functional restrictions.

Referrals

All referrals are clinically triaged. Case Management referrals will be allocated to the appropriate specialist rehabilitation/ vocational Case Manager. Referrals for Occupational therapy or vocational assessments are allocated via our in-house network of HCPC registered Occupational therapists.

Reports

All completed reports are 100% clinically quality assured by our in-house clinical team.

Implementation

Case management and treatment intervention will be implemented following authorisation by the referring party.

Updates

Regular client updates will be provided to all parties in relation to the client’s rehabilitation progress.

Our range of services and assessments detailed below help identify and offer solutions to the challenges your customers face on a day-to-day basis.

Immediate Needs Assessment (INA)

An INA is a thorough, holistic and clinically reasoned face-to-face assessment with an individual who has sustained an injury or who is suffering from a medical condition which  impacts their ability to complete activities they were able to do prior to the injury or illness.

Telephone Diagnostic Assessment (TDA)

This is a cost-effective assessment that provides an overview of the injuries sustained or illness manifestation detailing medical and treatment intervention, ongoing and unmet rehabilitation needs, the individual’s occupations, and social circumstances.

Post-concussion Screening Assessment

This is a remote assessment for individuals with ongoing, often subtle, symptoms of concussion.  The assessment is undertaken by a specialist neurological Occupational Therapist using evidence based screening tools to provide guidance on timely and effective intervention to improve an individual’s functional performance in everyday life.

Occupational Therapy Functional Assessment

This is a face-to-face assessment with the individual, in which all relevant areas of functional performance are assessed e.g. personal and domestic activities of daily living, occupational performance (leisure and social interests) etc.

Cognitive/Fatigue Assessment

This assessment provides objective evidence of cognitive capacity through psychometric tests and self-report questionnaires. These address aspects such as memory, verbal comprehension and fluency, processing speed and logical thinking as well as impact of fatigue and attention/concentration.

Functional Capacity Evaluation

This comprehensive and detailed assessment is applied to determine an individual’s current physical ability to perform work duties, to help them return to a work role, or alternatively, gain new employment.
