Enable Therapy Services Delivers Interactive Worksite Assessment Training In Partnership With Kier / 1 Apr, 25
Enable Therapy Services (ETS) recently delivered a dynamic Worksite Assessment Training session, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to equipping our Case Managers with cutting-edge knowledge in vocational rehabilitation and workplace health.
The training took place at a real-world construction environment generously provided by Kier, offering participants an authentic setting to apply theoretical concepts. In our dedication to supporting the next generation of rehabilitation professionals, we welcomed students and teaching staff from the University of Huddersfield who gained invaluable hands-on experience in assessing workplace environments – a crucial skill for supporting individuals returning to work following injury or illness.
Participants engaged in expert-led discussions and practical exercises designed to enhance their understanding of workplace rehabilitation principles. The training emphasised real-world applications, with attendees actively exploring the construction site to identify potential challenges and solutions for workers with various needs.
One participant described the session as “Interactive, informative, thought provoking – and fun!” highlighting the engaging approach that characterises Enable Therapy Services’ training methodology. Another attendee praised the “good balance of theory and practical” noting they “most enjoyed the ability to access a construction site”, which provided context impossible to replicate in a classroom setting.
The site walkthrough proved particularly valuable, as one participant explained: “The site walk through was informative and ‘brought to life’ issues that could arise when considering returning to work”. This practical experience helps our Case Managers develop more effective rehabilitation strategies tailored to specific workplace environments.
At ETS, we recognise that successful vocational rehabilitation requires both theoretical knowledge and practical application. All ETS Case Managers are HCPC registered Occupational Therapists with additional vocational rehabilitation training, applying clinical knowledge, experience with evidence-based approaches to proactively support our clients with their rehabilitation and recovery.
A huge thank you to Kier for hosting the day and to all attendees for making the training a superb educational experience.
